7600GT or x1600pro ?

Okay dudes. So for some reason, I got both of these, along with a core 2 E660, an intel motherboard 975 (why is there no fatherboard?) and some other shit.

But, which one do I put in the computer? I have to take one back, so until I figure which one is better, I can't take either out of the box.

The 7600GT has 256mb, and the x1600 512 mb. I know the 7600 is faster, but is that enough to overcome the fact that the x1600 has twice as much memory?

enlighten me please :p.

dude i hate my 7600gt..its like the best one you can get but while playin SF i go down to 20 fps with med/low settings.

I know ram helps too...but still 7600gt is like below average card.

Look up benchmarks, and you will find the 7600gt the clear winner. Besides the fact that I have one, and its a great card.

i never get below 55 fps in a SF server, never below 60 fps on vanilla. and i play all high, no AA.

7600gt fucking owns.

and i only have 1 gig of RAM....

i play fine, it is a awesome card, the 1600.... sucks..

I'm looking at like 30FPS right? with the 7600GT and my current setup being core 2 duo 2.6GHz 1 GB DDR2 ram,and other stuff.

i voted 7600GT.... actually i just bought one, 3 days ago, and i can say its a good card, i run BF2 at medium/high with it and my pc spec are: 1gb of ram DDR2 and dual core processor of 2.8Ghz, sometime I lag a bit, but i think its because of my ram, with 2GB of ram ill be okay.... so i say the 7600GT is a great card !!!! go for it
