Alright, so I bought have Norton Antivirus and everything installed on all three of my computers... tonight, I switched out my motherboard and processor and all of the sudden it stops working... So I call two different times and the second time, the guy pretty much says "too bad, you have tried to install it on too many machines"... I switched out a motherboard and processor? what the fuck!

Have any of you had any problems like this and if so did you fix it or do I have to buy a new subscription...?

Yeah I use to be an avid Norton guy, but I got AVG about 18 months ago, too. Love it. Simple , free upgrades, never had one problem. Scans fairly quick.

I had symantec products for years. And they do work, if you are in the noob stage of your PC knowledge.

They make your life easier if you are an average user, but if you start to worry about performace and all the crarp we do, well, Norton is not for you.

I had free AVG for a while, and its great. All the protection but less usage of you memory.

yeah, my parents bought a 2-year norton subscription, and i tried it on my system. reformatted. and installed avg free. its really awesome. updates daily and scans in no time.

I created the same thread a week ago, and I was abut to buy norton xD, the guys here saved me and I downloaded AVG and Zone alarm firewall. They are both great!
