Hi, I don't usually do this but...

can anyone recommend a good screen recording program which i can either download for free with no limitations or registration....or download from limewire some other source which also doesn't require registration.

Just download a registered version of Fraps, like I did

edit - I can record Windows Media Player atleast, but haven't tried my desktop

I have one Hypercam 2, Its not the best of quality but you don't have to register, and you can record any window, game or even your desktop, for any reasons you would like.....ewww....

Yeah, google for snagit and download it from their website. The get serials2k and unlock it.
