i searched, couldn't find anything, and i know this sounds dumb, but i need help
bf2142 ctd as soon as i double click, the screen turns black to run the program, and then it ctd, i think i may not have a good enough graphics card, so i was wondering if i could find out what type of card i got, thanks.

Right-click My Computer -> Properties -> Hardware -> Device Manager -> Display Adapters.

Go to System Information in Accessories in your Start bar, click on Components and then on Display.  Hey Presto.

would a Intel G965 Express Chipset Family be good enough to run bf2142 then...? and thanks for the help

NVIDIA GeForce FX 5700 or the ATI Radeon 8500 is as low as you can go. I would recommend higher though...
