Just wondering how many new teams are planning on signing up for CAL BF2 8v8 Season 5.
Season 5 should be starting up soon with preseason just around the corner. So get your team ready and sign up. We have a long thread going in the clans section but I figured nobody would read it if they aren't recruiting.
CAL is planning on using a new anti-cheat program this season. If you are worried about those pesky hackers that are giving BF2 a bad name, this may help deter some.
I have played in Seasons 3 and 4, both gave me the best time playing BF2. I would have burnt out on BF2 long ago if it was for the exciting competition there is in CAL. I would like to see some new teams sign up and get in on the fun. There are a lot of great guys in the competitive side of the BF2 community, so come out and meet us if you haven't already.
If you are part of a team that has never been in CAL here is a quick guide to getting started. http://forums.caleague.com/showthread.p … ight=guide
I didn't find it until after my first season and I wish I had seen it before we learned everything the hard way.
There are two division for BF2 8v8, Open and Main. The experienced teams that have proven themselves or have a lot of players that have proven themselves get bump into the Main division. The Open division usually has teams that are new, play for fun, or have yet to show how good they really are. Playing in Open is awesome whether you are on a good team or a team that is struggling.
Get signed up in the forums and make yourselves known. If you have any questions, there are a lot of people that will be willing to help and a few that may flame you to make themselves look cool. Just ignore the flamers and you'll be ok.
So sign up in a few weeks when registration finally re-opens and get your teamates ready to play. You may regret missing it, because there might not be too many more seasons for BF2 left.

I hope to see you in Season 5
