Well, I don't know how well the 7600GT would overclock, but I got a 6600GT (MSI) and all I can say - forget about overclocking, even 20 MHz more makes my BF2 look like Tetris - fancy colours and amusing angles stuck together wildly...
If you, however, have one case fan directly delivering air to the graphics fan, it might be okey, but usually the manufacturers used to slap out the last bit of perfomance of their cooling system... If the GPU's would overclock so easily, the manufacturers would seel them at higher stock speeds for more money
I still wonder why Intel doesn't do that with their CPUs yet.

just make sure you dont slam the clocks up...ease them up, i do it 2mhz up each time, and scan for artifacts (ATItraytools will work for that purpose alone on nvidia cards)
maybe so but i can overclock my 7800GS from 400mhz core to 500 and it doesnt even hit 60c under heavy load...and thats an nvidia cardStormscythe wrote:

Thing is, not even two of the same card from the same maker will overclock the same. Much less cards from different series.Stormscythe wrote:

Dont ever overclock an X300 three times faster then it was intended to run at.
