Why DICE thinks that bodies should slide through walls I will never know..
Thats a better place then hotel 0.0'
i think putting black on the back of every texture is the best way of fixing this reoccuring problem
Nice, now do not tell us how.
Wow That would prob be the best glitch/exploit in the whole game cuz you can literally see EVERYTHING! All you need is an rpk and you are SET!!

Looks more like he's fiddling around with a camera to me. Someone trying to get a screen shot to send of to bfroe?Toilet Sex wrote:

I think they deliberately dont draw any backs to the planes to minimise the amount of work for the cpu/gpu. a better way would be to fix the ragdoll physics so that bodies can't slide through wallsNinja_Monkey wrote:

ok, so is he UNDER the square, or what?
I can clearly see that he is inside the tall building in square, not under square.samfink wrote:

I knew it for a long time that this one exists, but there are much more glitches (like 8 I know)
there are even 2 ways to get back in the hotel :p

Butt im not a spelling nazi so nvm
you can get into practically any building in Bf2.
the reason no buildings have any skin, is because if you imagine it, that would mean Bf2 will have to generate twice as many textures= Land of Lag.
and easier way of doing it, would use whatever properties they have given to the floor of the cooling towers of dalian plant- the minute you touch the floor... you suicide. This would stop the people getting inside the buildings, as they would just die, and there wouldn't have to be any skinning etc.

That's a good idea, but knowing DICE and EA, they'd screw it up so you couldn't enter any building like Sharqi's TV Station.Titch2349 wrote:

Best solution would be to add solid collision mesh to the wounded.
but then you can still get inside buildings with various vehicles/ actions

Come to think of it, is Sharqi's TV Station the only BIG building people can actually go into and fight? I know there are little ones that are just a short cut to the other side...But...They should have more big buildings...Door to door combat
Nature is a powerful force. Those who seek to subdue nature, never do so permanently.
Karkand has the warehouse and another small building ... but, the best CQC options in buildings are found in Special Forces.Im_Dooomed wrote:

The thing that makes you commit suicide in the Dalian Cooling Tower is the "Death Material", Material Index #666 (:Havok wrote:

If you touch it, you are dead. But the problem is, where should it be mapped? Inside of buildings, there is nothing where the 666 could be and making the textures double-sided is not a option. If it was on the outside of the building everybody who touches it would die. Making the floor 666 is not possible because the floor just isnt, and if it was, ALL the floor would be 666. Making an invisible object with this material everywhere could be a solution, but that is not worth the effort.

Took me at least a week to stop landing the blackhawk in there...Titch2349 wrote:

actually,it's simple- make it that all objects can't be passed throuhg( ecxcept by climbing OVER them).in otehr words, the glitchers would walk up the wall. still not realistic, but better, at any rate. or, they would be on top of whatever they used to try to glitch, if it was asuply drop/vcehicle.
Called "Warlord"Im_Dooomed wrote:

lol you noobs.
no game, no matter what, will have NO TEXTURES in places its not needed.
the reason DICE dont texture the other side of the walls is because it's simply NOT NEEDED.
Download Source SDK and load a half life 2 map. Exactly the same.
The reason why this happens is because DICE have lazy coders and fail miserably at collision detection coding.
It's been the story ever since BF2 came out, bullets hitting but not registering, tv missiles going through objects etc.

i am saying that there are very few buildings in vanilla bf2 that you can go in.lord_tyler_486 wrote:

I was suggesting that the ground level floor, could include this #666 material you are on about.
I make maps myself, but have never been involved with skinning etc etc. I have noticed that nearly all of the buildings do not actaully have a floor.
What is wrong with making all the floor 666? you just have another floor covering the #666 floor which stops the soldier from touching the floor, where it is needed
All the building you have in BF2 have this anyway- they all have a fake floor for the solider to walk upon.
I take it that you know a lot more than me on skinning etc etc, but i don't understand why the #666 floor isnt possible
