I have another setup in my living room and its got a geforce 6200(shitty but dont use it for gaming) and i have a 19 inch widescreen monitor hooked up to it . I noticed that the screen is blurry and i cant fix it in the driver options or anything. And the correct resolution is also set up. So im wondering if widescreens just give out a blurry picture or if the video card is just not sufficient enough to create a clear picture.
Have you tested the monitor if it works with your another pc? If there's something wrong with the monitor
it shouldnt do - have you set the monitor up too? Might need a press of the auto-sync to get it to see the new timings?
Negative, nothing blurry here. Fool around some more with the resolution. What is it at now?burton wrote:

Try changing the refresh rate. Mine was blurry for like 2 weeks before I smartened up and changed the refresh rate. Mine is currently 60Hz at 1680x1050.
did you update the drivers for the vid card when you installed it?
i used to have a 6200 and i hooked up my 19" widescreen, its the gfx card it cant handle the resolution
p.s. my resolution is 1440x900

You don't say what resolution you're running at, but LCD monitors don't like to run at resolutions lower than their native resolution in my experience. If the gpraphics card you have will not run at the native res of the monitor then it's always gonna look blurry I think.
I had the same problem a while ago and didnt know what was happening, i turned out that my height was screwed up. I was running on 1280x768 when i was meant to run on 1280 x 800, it made one hell of a differnce for 32 digits.
You don't have your resolution setup properly. A 6200 should support upto 2048x1536. You may have to configure a custom resolution.
