- How can you actually like Wake Island 2007?
I can fly jets but I'm sick of being TKed by M95 lame sniper who only can shoot at people who get the jet first.. I'm sick of people standing in front of jets or jeeping them so I do TK and they punish me..

Battlefield.no also has a wake only server, but its not allowed to rape the carrier, so the usmc usually win. First thing they do is cap the pla`s airfield. Then it becomes boring to fly. No challenge what so ever.
I loved shooting down the j10s on tv2 servers and then rape the airfield. HAHAHA, not much of a challenge, but its revenge.
You have to learn the rules of the game and then you have to play better than anyone else.
I love Wake because it is totally unpredictable if you are on Usmc, and also the biggest challenge in bf2. And PLA dont have an uncap, so you can rape them for ever, and when you have capped them down to the last flag it`s a friggin party

i like wake coz in the chopper its rape rape time for me
J10 sucks, its the either the Z-10 or the AH, many a time I got 60+ kills maybe 2-4 deaths in the AH, choppers make or break that map. A good team in the Z10 can kill every boat/ chopper/ swimmer and go to a turning flag quicker rather than the nub in the J10. J10's are for nubs.ncc6206 wrote:

USMC pilots can easily keep PLA down while infantry and tanks go get the flags. When round starts, USMC jets go to airfield shoot the spawned J-10. (no worries no1 in IGLA yet, everybody going for the jet) Then shoot the IGLA, shoot the spawned jet, shoot the chopper, shoot IGLA, shoot jet... This works pretty long if PLA can't get any jets in air.
Its not fucking hard i had overall a kdr of 5 and a plane kdr of 48 before i stopped caring so just stfu about stats.

Wake Island has an excellent gameplay environment--clear bright open skies, lush shrubbery, pristine sands, and clear blue Hawaiian waters. It's possible on this map to effectively coordinate tanks, infantry, planes and choppers because it's very open and large.

You may be just a little biased because you play on a good server most of the time. But the server makes all the difference. Good servers that are populated with skilled players are almost always fun and balanced. I know 2 wake servers that are almost always that way. I don't know if LT. I can recommend "datorbutikken", it`s Swedish server. The team never switches so if only want to play PLA or only USMC thats great. And the admins there are my great, on almost always on during daytime.LividBovine wrote:

Wakes is a great map, you just have to know where your going and what your doing.

i used to play it alot but i got sick of the fact that US needs to get on land for people to get points and if they have a shit team they have no chance.
all wake seems to do for me is lower my spm

The first jet should keep the j10s down, that way the hawks and the boats have a chance of getting to the island. But it wont work if a really good j10 whore get the first j10
Also the problem is that people are so dumb! Why does 32 people spawn on the essex ffs, if you dont spawn on the essex you can join the first squad that reaches a flag and spawn there.
Half of the time i play wake it`s hell, the other half it`s fantastic, i guess the good rounds make up for all the "getting your ass raped" rounds.

I Quite like wake, i play 2 v 2 Armour Matchs in TWL an wake is good practice for good long tank battles, Tank Vs helicopter an so on its good just to see how long i can survive with the jets bombin me 24/7 too its really good its helped me alot.

i completely agree with you on this one sarge. wake is only fun when u are being cheap, and because it is arguably the only map that is nice to look at (dragon valley would get my vote if not for its annoying bright whiteness). the unbalanced jets make every round a simple question of, did a competant pilot get a j10? because if so, they are *almost* unstoppable. and since it is so spread out, nobody shows up planning on ground pounding, so even if u have the j10, your airbase is being taken every five seconds, and your teamates arent defending it because the vehicles dont spawn near the flag. it shouldnt happen that a team gets capped out when it is way ahead on tickets, but this happens maybe every fourth round on wake. u just get a whole team of idiots TKing eachother in one corner of the map while the US skillessly caps it all out. wake actually encourages the cheapest possible strategy for the US pilot. I got my kill streak of 61 in an f35 like two days ago by systematically strafing the airfield for the enitre round so that no j10s ever flew. its such a complete bullshit strategy, but unless you are going to become the most insanely skilled pilot, handling the j10 is going to be difficult without a lot of savage raping.
