Well i was planning on getting that computer, and learning how to build/upgarde etc on my broke computer. The money is not important to me. I have dreamt of an amazing gaming computer since i first started gaming.

First good luck with your job!!!

Well ill tell you for 1k thats a pretty good comp. I don't know what the is in $ but its something.

Mainly what i would look for is:

2gb of ram

A dual core processor thats over 2ghz <games will be supporting dual core processors soon so you'll be wise to buy a dual core. That computer has a decent 2.2 i'de recommend a DC 2.4+ BUT you shouldnt be worried ive got a Single core 2.0ghz amd and i can run just about anything i want.

A strong video card. I see that comp has a dual ATI setup. Im not familiar with ATI but it sounds badass.

Not a bad looking rig. Price seems fair for the hardware.  I like the case.  Have you considered the Alienware stuff? Check out Maximum PC website. I like their magazine and it has lots of gamers computers for sale. As for building your own, you won't save a ton of money but you would get the satisfaction of doing it  yourself. Asus makes good motherboards (I have one).

How did you find out about this one? Best of luck with the new job!

Just that it cost me £200 first time i opened comp up, second time fried it. If i get this job, i would like to pay for it, and no what im getting is top notch. Like i say i am going to experiment on my old computer, when i get a bit older i will build my own.

*Roomba, i dont really want alienware, tooo expensive, and this computer seems wicked , thanks for all your help so far guys *

I understand. Its tough building a comp for the first time especially when your using high quality parts. You've got the right idea using your old computer to learn on.

why not wait and save up, and get one of those new R600 cards coming out very soon (they will be out by the time you have the cash!)

DEFINATELY build your own, you will save money and with that saved money...get a Core 2 Duo!!

My stock 6300 beats my friends brothers stock 4600 X2 amd..and with ine overclocked it really does win

if money is no object in this matter, then wait and get a dx10 card

just my 2 cents, or pence as im english

The 6300 with a 680i chipset goes over 3ghz easily.
See(http://i11.tinypic.com/2n87dz9.png) Probably need another gig of ram but right now it's at $1500.

Im thinking of now buying a computer from

www.pcspecialist.co.uk

If i am going to spend that amount of money i want the best. So please go ahead and design a computer from that site, and post a screenshot or the specs to me please, that would be very helpful

or another site which does the same if you like.
