PS3 will be the best in a year, right now its the 360, Wii started out at the bottom and is only gonna get lower IMO.

Honestly I've played a few games for the consoles and I have some of the games for my PC and the graphics and game play are VERY similar if not better (especially with NHL 07) on the PC. So if you already have a good PC why even bother with the consoles, unless you think the Wii is cool but otherwise just stick with the PC, it's much more useful.

Just in: the Wii sold 3.16 million since it was released 2 months ago. The 360 has sold 8 million so far, after being released a year ago.

But now im begining to get tired to all CTD's, BSOD's, random crashes/lagging etc. etc...
I just want to put game on drive and start playing without first reinstalling drivers for graphicsgard/whatever. So ill be buying 360 as soon as i have enough spare money for it.
edit: id probably say that 360 is best of three because of its reasonably prized (compared to PS3) and it has many games that i like to play with PC (-crashes and like (or so i hope)) like Oblivion, NFS series and number of good FPS games, i hope it had some good RTS and mouse though.

maybe this thread should be re-opened in a year when the wii and the ps3 have had a years worth of development on them like the 360.
i mean the graphics on GoW are fantastic IMO but nothing looked that good on the 360 when it first came out!
i mean considering the ps3 can match the graphics on games that the 360 has had in development over a year, i am quite impressed, and cant wait to see what the machine can do in a years time.
When it comes to the wii its great. i dont play on it as much as my pc or 360 but when it does get turned i always have fun and lots of it, its so simple to use thats why i think i like it. i know there is no magical blue ray diode (ps3)or 3 3Ghz processors (360) i know its a silmed down version of a gamecube and some games are shit (red steel for example) but games like wii sports are great its pick up and play, and some times thats all you want.
My point is this, things might be clearer in 2008, as all three companies try and get us to buy there machines by trying to make the best games and in the long run that has to be better for us gamers!

Source? I got a Wii, never had a single problem with it. Mabye your just angry becasue you dont have one or you dont like new ideas. The 360 is BY FAR the best system on the market right now. Microsoft is a fantastic company, and the 360 is a fantastic machine. The integrated "blade" system and ability to overlap processes (ie downloading a game demo while playing a totally different game, and still having the ability to message your friends) is utterly awesome.

The Wii is a piece of shit as well, and anyone who bought one is Wiitarded (like that pun?). There was a file that required downloading on the Wii after activating it, which ended up TOTALLY DISABLING the online feature for the people who downloaded it. This means that they were unable to get back online to download a fix for the problem. They had to send the Wii back to Nintendo and get a replacement. I used to be a hardcore Nintendo fanboy, (I loved the Gamecube and DS, I still play both), but the Wii is fucking stupid.
Moral of the story: If you're gonna get a system get a 360. It has the best dashboard features, and has had an extra year to perfect its programming, as well as getting some sweet games and extra hardware. 360 FTW.

The PS3 launch was horrible, so was the 360s and the PS2s. I remember buying a PS2 on launch for £300, with madden and timesplitters. It's a well known fact that games available for launch are horrible.

If you want to know who "won", Nintendo did, in terms of sales against production costs, they've made a HUGE profit. But once people realise the Wii is just a gamecube with wavey controllers, poor graphics and no games worth owning, sales will slow down. Sony are struggling with the PS3 because people are unaware of what the console can really do, you could say it's been released ahead of its time. When High Def becomes more popular and people start buying HD TV sets, they'll make the jump because the quality is SO much better compared to todays standard.
and before you come out with "you have no idea what you're talking about etc etc etc", I'm in my 2nd year of a Computer Games Design degree, I've already done 2 years of a Games Technology course in college. I've met tonnes of developers, 3D Artists and what not, so I do know what I'm talking about.

I dont think you can jusdge yet. 360 took almost a year show us gears of war, I would assume the same with ps3. They dev cycles on these have gotten pretty long so it takes some time to create that sweetness and full take advantage of the platforms. Wii is just plain fun.

I don't understand these people that claim the Wii is in last place, considering it is still sold out, despite having more stock than the PS3.
I WILL come out and admit that the Wii is, until proven otherwise by Nintendo and other game companies, just going to be the cream in my banana split that I call my gaming. There are always the few games that are Nintendo property, that I have to play (smash brothers brawl), but if no others come out that make it a MUST-HAVE for the system (like Gears of War for the X360, and MGS4 for the PS3), then it will not truly become THE system to own. And because it has less power and a different control scheme than other consoles, it will not be able to compete by getting ports of other consoles' great games. I sadly do not see the Wii becoming the number one console, but Nintendo will not die as a company, for exactly the reason as stated above: the console is making loads of money.
The X360 and the PS3 will always be neck and neck. What I think it will eventually come down to is whichever format wins, wins it for the respective console. For example, if the Blu-ray wins, then the PS3 will, because people will but the PS3 ONLY for the Blu-ray player, NOT for games.

Of course it was the xbox 360 beause it has some good games and has been out in a long time. BUT this year all gaming consoles are gonna get owned by the ps3. This console is just sooo powerful, that the other consoles can not beat it. Ps3 has blueray and The cell wth 8 processors, super graphcis card and so on.
