New theme - Opinions + A Question

I've just downloaded the new alienware theme using the "AlienGUIse" interface.

I like it alot, with the 'vista-like' widget, customizable information bar at the bottom.

What do you guys think of it?

- My question is: can I change the mini icon/avatar thing which shows something is a shortcut, which is shown on the bottom left of shortcuts?
(The standard XP theme uses a small white box with a black triangle in it, this uses an intrusive black circle and blue arrow).

tweak ui has an option to change the shortcut arrows. that should work

it does look pretty cool i have to admit. i still like my royale noir more though

I like that theme, it's the one I'm using but with the black alien head wallpaper instead of the blue stuff. Do you know where your dock icons are and if you do could you do me a huge favor & send those ones to me?

I have the full version of Window Blinds & it made me uninstall AlienGuise to install it but when I did I lost those 3 icons that I wanted.

Just download a fresh copy of the AlienGUIse, it comes with the dock add-on.

Yeah I know, I've turned them off already (slowed down the system noticeably), I was just showing the theme as a whole.

james you could sort out the shortcuts a bit. Put them in a folder (like "Games") then you can link it to the task bar so its like a pop up. Just right click toolbar. Go to "Toolbars" then tick the folder to get the pop up.

I know how to do toolbars!

The shortcuts are fine...if you look closely at the the screenie you can notice the 'structured groupings' of them!

The idea of shortcuts (in my opinion) is that they are a short way of getting to something. I don't want to have to be going through folders or toolbars to get there!

I like everything being available to me, theres no point in excess space on the desktop, your desktop isn't there to be looked at, it's a 'base'.

I obviously do like the right amount of space - the gap in the middle.

Well I like it!
