on some maps i believe you can to 75%.
these are my thoughts please add yours just for curiosity.

Kubra Dam                   =      could go eather way but MEC might have advantage (haven't played it much
sense i started watching what teams win what)
Mashtuur City               =      teams even best team wins
Operation Clean Sweep =      MEC has the advantage (if they hold the waypoints for just a few min.)
Zatar Wetlands             =      teams even best team wins
Strike at Kirkland          =      MEC has the advantage (just hold the line for a few min)
Sharqi Peninsula           =      Fairly even best team wins
Gulf of Oman               =       US has advantage (but i don't know if the game starts with a drain if not then its
                                                 even.)
Daqing Oilfields            =       teams even best team wins
Dalian Plant                 =       teams even best team wins
Dragon Valley              =      China has advantage
Fushe Pass                   =      teams even best team wins
Songhua Stalemate      =       teams even best team wins
Wake island 2007         =      China should always win this map its to easy to defend not to (you don't even
need the airport but it helps)

from what i have seen if one side starts with most of the flags they should be able to hold the flags just long enough to get ahead and stay there provided they keep there K/D ratio even to the opposite team.

the only one i don't see this working on is Sharqi Peninsula and only because the MEC's can stop the ticket drain very early due to the small size of the map.

this interesting to see, the US is the hardest to win at they don't ever have a real advantage.

like i said just my observations please add more if you know something.

the only good way for the other team to win is to be better and control all the flags.

One note is that the size of the map (16,32,64) also seems to have a major affect on this too.

From the looks I am guessing you are talking about 64 size.

Strike at Karkand, I know what you're saying but the MEC can only keep the advantage IF they work as a team. And they don't do that 75% of the rounds.
I've seen way too many games as a MEC, where they are all killing at the Hotel, forgetting the Gatehouse and the Suburbs spawns. USMC surprise attacks them, and also take Train Accident. They move towards the south, until MEC only has the Hotel left. Game Over.

you probably right player amount will play a part.

i was speaking of 32 players cause that almost all i play.

i played a 64 player kirkland once and the US team capped one flag for about 2 mins but still won the game
because they were just destroying the MEC's.  for some reason the MEC's decided to meet the US instead of waiting for them and were getting killed more then the ticket drain was effecting the US team.

I would agree with the fact that you can often predict, which side is going to win. It is not always true though. Most maps will be won by the side working best as a team. And this is regardles of map size. Some times a single player can even turn the tides of battle. A good pilot or a good tank driver can rack up quite a lot of kills and kills mean tickets.

when jets and helos are in, the team with the better pilots usually wins. This is especially true on maps like Dalian Plant, Daquing Oilfields, Zatar wetlands and Gulf of Oman. If your pilots don't match theirs, you are going to get pounded into the dirt...

When teams are even skill-wise, the one with better teamplay / squad handling / commander will almost always win. Hell, on most public servers one dedicated squad can turn the tides.

this is also when BF2 is at its best, btw.

From my experience Dragon Valley is actually pretty even, it just looks like China has a lot of control points, but its just too much to defend all at once (in the 64 player version at least)

I think that one player - and that dont have to be a pilot - can be the reason why a side is loosing or winnig the game. Capturing or defindig one stratigic flag may be enaught.

Best example how a single player can win a game: Ghost Tom 32, make a suicide car and destroy the bridge from the enemy base to the town. In 75% of all games, that brigde will NEVER get repaired, the way for the MTV is blocked, and the infantry crossing the river is a easy target. Destroy the bridge - win the game.

Yes, I find the teams I'm on often lose.

karkand is a USA 80% win as far as i am concerned.. i usually play only karkand 24/7 servers.  if usa can get/ hold gatehouse, MEC are doomed.  usa will then have 2 tanks and >1 apc, depending on map size.  usa also can spawn at mec commander assets and keep their command chain crippled.   mec have no chance then...

most other maps are reasonably balanced, and i agree with a lot of what is said above re pilots etc.. particularly on wake.  if chinese have half decent wingmen (and i DONT mean those damned deckraping whores), then the usa is up against it... Wake needs coheisive usa squad play, otherwise they are wasting their time.

Unfortunately you can only judge which team has an advantage if both teams are fairly equal in skill. A lot of the games I play are extremely unfair and no matter how many rounds we play the enemy team loses by at least a 100 tickets every round. Maps that one of the teams has a cappable main is much more likely to lose even if they have vehicle advantage, because without teamwork they usually end up losing everything. On maps like Daquing and Dalian it's possible to hold off the entire enemy team off just with 6 people in jets/choppers. ( Winning team usually being China, but again it depends on the players )
