My brothers ordered a hard drive on the 12th December 2006 for my Christmas present - 300GB Samsung! It's now the the 9th of January practically, I phoned Citylink and they claim they delivered it - so it'll probably be at least February before I get that drive, which was meant to be a Christmas present for me..

Well, I have a socket 939 X2 4200+ that I'm upgrading to from a socket 754 3400+, but I have a new AGP 7600GS that I still would like to use. After that, I'll upgrade to a PCI-E GPU, and with this mobo I'll be able to support it. Also, the mobo allows for the addition of a sort of CPU add-on board. This lets you use an AM2 socket and DDR2 memory in the future. All you have to do is add the board in.

ha, that's the mobo i was looking at when i still agp (one of the few you'll find that supports agp and pcie). i did exactly what newbie mentioned above. sold my old and in with the new. i was on a budget and started my upgrade in november. i sold my old cpu, mobo, agp card, and pc2700 ram. of course i moved up to pcie (7900gt) and better cpu and ram. total upgrade was about $600, not bad if you figure in $200 for 2gb of ram. i also got a nice 19" ws for my birthday that i didn't add in. i'd suggest saving up for your upgrade.
