Can you specify a bit?

-For how long does it boot up before it fails?
-Does it go in to a "loop" or just shut down?
-Have you looked inside your comp?
-Can you access the BIOS?
-Do you get a Windows loading screen before failure?
etc.
I need around tree fiddy.

I had the same problem. I had so much dirt and dust clogged in the fan. Did thorough cleaning of it. (Had to unhook some shit and remove it) It worked fine after that. Hope its that simple for you.

I had a similar problem like that. Try to take the front lid of the case and power it up and see if it stays on. When I had a similar problems it was that the power button was like getting stuck. So I cleaned it up and all fine. Hope it works.

Sounds like something wasn't seated properly, RAM, video card, power connector or something.

I guess I'm weird, because I enjoy field strippping my pc and putting it back together again. I might even practice doing it blindfolded.

it was probably the heatsink not properly attached, therefore the cpu got too hot and system shut down to prevent damage, happened when i built my first computer

I heard there is a virus that does this.  start is safe mode and run virus protection.
