So I got a $50 newegg gift certificate for Hannukah and I decided to redeem it today to help pay for a new PSU. I try to redeem it, but it doesn't work. So I have a nice chat with a CS rep, and guess what? My uncle (the one who gave me it in the first place) had voided it saying that it was fraud! HE VOIDED MY PRESENT!
Oy. I hate relatives.

Any other bad after holiday experiences?

Wow that sucks man. There must have been some missunderstanding between him and his bank, like maybe he forgot that he bought it. Give him the benefit of the doubt until you ask him about it.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. His wife probably bought it and he had no idea so he voided it. That's the way things work sometimes.
