Its a game by the makers of "Operation Flaspoint" and its supposed to be "awsome". I heard something about it having territories of 200 square killometers with people assauting some islands, view distance up to 2000 meters (no fog), up to 100 players, 30 weapons, 30-40 different vehicles, choppers, jets etc.

There appears to be a Chech (Czech) version out already and there is a multiplayer demo out.

I found it here:
http://www.shooterplanet.de/Shooter-Demos.php?id=396

Its 850 mb but the that site gave me a constant 450 kb/s download (my limit) so you can get it pretty fast.

Any thoughts?

Tried the demo, seemed pretty buggy to me. Or there was some error in installing, but I doubt it

The demo has been out for quite a while now. Since December 20.

I downloaded it back then but never got around to install and try it.
Might just do that now.

Anyway, in case someone is interested, here's the read-me from the demo:

I tried it. Seems like an upgraded version of operationflashpoint. Still kind of feels like an unfinished game but still great because of all you can do. Cant wait till it comes out and some mods come out for it.

I have the imported Cezh version!!!

I can honestly say that Operation Flashpoint GOTY is MUCH better. They just haven't bothered going back to the original OFP and fixing what needed fixing so badly they've just bolted a load of add-on that make the game cooler but not work.

Flight characteristics are AWFUL, choppers a literaly impossible to fly as the law of gravity is similar to the gravity on Mars and no matter how slow you turn you hurtle to earth in a fireball.

Weapon aiming is all over the place, I know it's meant to be realistic but if you tap the mouse button to aim it'll mover your cursor a centimetre so you'll never hit it. I spent over an hour messing with sensitivity but to no avail.

The graphics are cool, but extremely buggy and you need a monster of a computer my 7900GT and that can only just handle it. (What computers do they have in Germany and Cezh???).

Missions aren't very well scripted at all compared to Flashpoint which results in wondering around the map aimlessly for hours trying to find how the hell to complete the objective and thenb finding you have but it hasn;t registered.

Overall it just way too buggy. The developers should have started from the ground up to ipmroove OFP not just stick a load of new options on with sellotape. Though still a fun game. But after I was bored with it, it reminded me of how much I missed OFP so I've been playing on that ever since.

Any questions just ask!
