Strange death the other night ,while on a TOW I killed a guy in a tank, 5 seconds later I died and it said Killed by........ but did not say with what . Any ideas why this was ?
I've had that happen to me too. Flying around in a helo and it just blew up and there was nothing listed as killing me. What made it even better was that everything got really choppy just before it happened too.

erm, I think I can explain Drunkaholics problem...as I did it to somebody last night by fluke.
I was capping the powerstation flag on Dragon Valley and a friendly APC rolled in to get the assist/help me.
I noticed some enemy mines behind him as the flag was nearly capped so Instead of warning him by typing (which I thought would take too long) I threw a nade at the mines.
The mines blew him up
But It nevr gave me a TK and never creditted anyone with the kill?

It's happened to me a few times as well. Also I've noticed sometimes I'll see something like this:

Whats with the ( [ARTILLERY] Random Guy)? When you are killed by arty it should appear :

maybe its that Arty hack? if it showed the players name, the genuine commander (and the rest of his team) would know who the hacker was. Just a guess.
How about that name prefix exploit that allows you to turn your name orange and big... isn't there one of those codes that makes your name disappear entirely?

Yeah this is a weird bug for sure.. I've noticed it a few times and figured it might be someone geting killed by arty of a commander that resigned right after calling it or something. Then just out of nowhere it said "[Artillery]TroyN". Yet I was still very much alive and not even near any artillery.. had me scratching my head.Cougar wrote:

i had thise before it said like [Artillery] RDMC nothing more and i was flying a plane and still flying.. but somethin else i got somethin really cool in BF2 something like 6th sense yeah i often get this flashes in which i see an enemy climbin up a stairs in karkand at the hotel and then i point my gun at those stairs and then a enemy actually pops up.. and i shoot him really cool had this several times.. i am pshycic.. or how ever u write that..lolslaata wrote:

I was playing IO Jalalabad the other night, and right at the beginning of the match it pops up and said that I killed somebody (when I hadn't fired a round yet) in my bottom left corner, but it didnt say anything in the top left and I wasn't credited for the kill. Weird bug. I too have had the death by artillery ([Artillery]Schmitty)
Do people even look at the dates on posts ?
