BF2S Forums Tales from inside the karkand hotel....

You've found a weakness in the solid object code.  Ever notice sometimes when a soldier is hiding behind a wall you can see his feet or gun THROUGH the wall?  That is a void in the coding for that wall.  This void was notoriously exploited in both BF 1942 and the Desert Combat shell that ran on the BF1942 engine.  There was even an exploit on Al Khafji docks where a soldier could fly.
Unfortunately this exploit is getting more attention and soon there'll be a team near you spawning under Karkand's Hotel CP and a solo soldier will get a knife up his boot from beneath the patio as he's trying to cap the flag.. 

Did Room Service tend to all your ammunition needs?  How would you rate the hotel's quarters?

Wait a tick, my clan has been looking to see how people get in there for some time now and haven't been able to figure it out.  At least once or twice a night someone is getting in there and causing trouble.  We planned on modding the map with some kind of death bubble or barbed wire or something to keep people out, but since EA wants to be a bunch of rampant Nazi's about it we wanted to just find the hole and patch it up. 

We try to cause as little disturbance as possible so people wouldn't realized we modded it.  We did the same thing on the Dragon Valley glitch at the docks and it works well and is pretty much un-noticable, but the Karkand glitch has us stumped, we can't find the hole people are going in.  We've also caught people on the roof as well and can't figure out how thier getting up there.  If anyone knows, could they please PM myself or Gamble on the specifics so we can get this fixed on our server?

i captured the flag back after an american person had capped it, and was able to shoot out... unfortunately the server admins hate pings over 50 (wtf?) and i was booted after about 30 seconds of playing... sorry about the  bad screenshot, i guess arty was coming down at the time....

i was that happens to me once.. i would knive all those poor americans.. get my knive badge =-)
unfortunatly everytime i try it i get blasted away from the wall or some medic doenst come and reive me
