i bet triggerhappy will close this thread because i didn't 'search'. well i'm sorry, but what is the G36E considered as? assault rifle? carbine? submachine gun?

Don't quote me on this, but I beleive they classify it as an assualt rifle.

Speaking of which, someone should make a guide telling about how each rifle is classified.

the mg36 is another exception, its an lmg and the g36c is a carbine btw

I have one question. SHouldn't the MG36 have the same accuracy as the G36E? Since it is the smae EXACT gun except the drum magazine, vertical foregrip, and fire modes!!

That would probably make it WAY too overpowered as support classes could kill people from miles away just by spraying the mg36. Not good.

I'm not positive whether this is true of the real life g36 counter parts bu in game the
G26C and K variants are carbines
G36E is an assault rifle
and the MG36 is a Light machine gun.

well... in real life the mg36 has a heavier barrel for sustained firing... and it also has single shot mode too, much like the rest of the g36 line ... heavier barrels usually have one half or a quarter less turns in the rifling than the rifle counterparts. machineguns aren't exactly meant to be the most accurate tools.
i wish they made it more realistic... they'd actually make the support class something to be wreckened with.

Well you re prob right but i think they tried to balance classes. If there would be 1 kit with a "super weapon" everybody would be playing that class.

Apparently there are a fair number of people who haven't found this pattern yet.....Every medic and assault gun is a an assault rifle, every spec ops gun is a carbine.
