Need some relationship advice.

I haven't been posting much for the past few days because I've been having some relationship problems. My girlfriend and I have been getting into fights all the time over stupid and petty things. Just to clarify things, it's never my fault. I'm a pretty non-confrontational person. Every argument has been started by her...and most of the stuff she complains about is her own fault.

Last night was the last straw. She started up again and I didn't want to deal with it so I just walked out. I was very pissed. As soon as I got home I sat down at my computer and organized by thoughts and feelings on the matter into a Powerpoint presentation. I called her up around 8am this morning and told her to come over and that I have something to show her. I sat her down and began to present my Powerpoint. Not even 5 minutes into it she gets up and storms out of my apartment. What gets me is that this was totally unwarranted. I presented the Powerpoint very politely and professionally -- making sure not start up another argument. I think her simply storming out of the room as I'm in mid-sentence was extremely rude, especially considering I spent over an hour putting this together and am trying salvage our failing relationship. How long should I wait for her to apologize? I need some advice.

well, gfs usually get pissed when the boyfriends are playing computer games all the time and spend more time on there computer than her. And then when you you showed here the powerpoint thing you made she thought that you were just a big nerd and thats why she left.

I would wait a few months and then if she hasn't called find a new one.Was it a good presentation? pictures and different fades and fonts?

Yes i agree, but being a pain is part of life that you have to life through that makes your relationship stronger.But then again if you seem you have tried every thing (even quitting being on the comp.) then i guess it is un-deserver. But is you do try everything there is to make a woman happy then i guess so.

How long have you been together and what is she complaining about? If it's over stupid and petty things I would hesitate to put your relationship in the category of failing. In my experience, relationships go through stages and sometimes, for whatever reason, two people just don't get along. Conflict can actually strengthen a relationship if it's resolved correctly. As my grandpa always said, "If you never have an argument as a couple, someone's not being honest!"

I'm much like you, non-confrontational and try to get out to defuse before I speak. After I've organized my thoughts, I usually write my wife an email, ask her to read it and think, then we get together and talk. That has never failed to resolve an argument for us. I'd say it was definitely rude that she didn't watch the whole presentation. How long should you wait? Dunno. I don't know her or her personality. If she's like my wife, she'll come back and address it at some point. I wait for her to be able to discuss it in a civil manner or I refuse to talk about it. She'll figure out she was wrong at some point. If you're committed to her, I wouldn't toss her just yet.

That road trip idea sounds good, too. It enables both of you to focus on something else, which defuses the situation a bit.

Just my opinion but the fact that you had to even make a presentation outlines your problem completely, things have a way of working themselves out but if they don't then don't worry about it it wasn't meant to hope that helps

We'll if this isn't complete BS, then try the following:

1.) Don't ever make a PP presentation about the difficulties your having in a relationship - It's too cold, and calculated. It doesn't show any passion, or emotion, and women love that sort of thing.
2.) Learn to pick your battles - "Don't sweat the small stuff". (takes allot of small stuff to fill that PP deck)
3.) Maybe she sees your "non-confrontational" attitude as lack of caring. You can probably explain this to her.
4.) Women typically don't apologize. I'm pretty sure they don't know what this means.
5.) If she really matters to you, then you'll both find a way to work it out. if not, the grass is always greener...
6.) Show her a video tape of Ike Turner's greatest hits (pun intended), and I bet she'll see things differently. JK

Finally, as bad an idea as the PP deck was - I LMFAO when I saw that. I'm just surprised she didn't give you a swift shot to the nuts during your presentation.
