I thought, you were not allowed to play games on plasmas.

If your new tv has HDMI, and your computer has Dual DVI, you should get DVI to HDMI adapter and HDMI cable.

Is it not right, that it can be foolish to play games as in some cases the phosphorus can burn, and ruin it.

Well, in the ps2 manual it says, that when playing games on plasma it can ruin the phosphorus, and make it burn.

62 must cost 7.000 £

Yeah I am pretty sure plasma is just for tv.  No video games

LCD is best for video games

the link I just posted wrote:

Assuming you operate your plasma TV in the 'Normal' or 'Cinema' picture modes and don't play video games on it too often, you should be in fine shape for quite some time.

Look up the Sony stuff. I have a 60 inch TV that looks just like plasma but is sony's own style of display.

Enough with the burn-in shit people!

I have had a JVC 42" for 3 years now, and its on all-the-time. Sometimes its left on overnight.
No burn-in.
No signs of imminent burn-in, no dimming as it ages (which plasmas apparently do).
Burn-in is a load of shit trying to make you buy a shitty LCD.

If you are still paranoid, you can check its settings to see if it has a 'Pixel-Shift' mode, which basically moves the image about 8cm every 15 minutes or so, like mine.

As for gaming, Plasma is not 'not for gaming', how is displaying a TV channel different from displaying a game? Oh still imagery? Yeah you don't get that on TV ever.

And yes, I have hooked my computer up to it, but you can't play BF2 on a coffee table. You'll abandon it as a computer display because its not practical.

I'm not sure but I think that might be fixed now.  When that was probably printed Plasma's were very new technology with plently of bugs that need to be worked out.  I would do some research for yourself on websites that are current.

My buddy owns a farm just outside Henley-on-Thames and on the side of the stables there is a huge whitewashed wall ....... combine the wall, the £5000 projector he has, XBox360 and lots of beer and you have a great venue for a party.
