I really haven't played BF2 in a long time, and I had been looking forward to playing BF2 with my new computer. Why is it that I have noticed that the population of BF2 has went way down? I used to be able to scroll down the page and see so many servers with 50+ people, now, did everyone move to BF2142 or soemthing? There is like less than half of the BF2 population that I remember playing! Am I doing something wrong? I'm on 1.41...

But seriously, I have noticed a better gameplay actually. Enemy players seem better. As in, the noobs have left. MY K/D ratio has suffered a bit. awesome!

Usually games ar most popular at the beginning, fades out till u have fewer casual gamers and steadiness maintained by the more dedicated players of that game (in general). Still plenty of people and servers about though.
There are still 64 player servers, just not as many.

after 1.4 ppl got fed up with EA and DICE for the patches and then wen 1.41 came out ppl raged and stoped playin the game, it isnt that much fun anymore

Yea it is not just you.. there is a few things, the patches - alot of peps dont like em, - 2142 alot of peps like em.
Battlefield 2142 is dieing in Australia...
1 major game network started with 32 servers of 2142... they are down to 16.
most networks here are kickin' 2142... not fully but a lot.
BF2 seems to be unchanged.

Put BF2 back to patch 1.12 and I bet it will instantly gain a lot of popularity again.

Well i moved onto 2142 and got bored and went back to bf2 once i had uninstalled 2142.
Even on xfire there are more people playing bf2 than 2142.Just more hardcore players left that don't want to let go,i know i don't 400 hours down the pan..

I've moved on to the Supreme Commander & vanguard: saga of hero's betas.
I'll play bf2 or 2142 when I feel like shooting someone just like 1942 was for me during the total annihilation age.
I love these forums though o well.
