to make a long story short.. I have the game fully installed on my computer, but the folder in my documents or wherever it is is no longer there. I would simply reinstall, but I can't find my BF2 disc 1 anywhere.. SF is not installed, so I tried installing it, but because the folder isnt there... I can't... install bf2 sf or patch the game...

my only idea for solution were if someone could send me the folder Via email irok100@yahoo.com just remove the profiles from the folder.. or if someone has a better idea please let me know

that folder only controls your profiles...

well.. it lets me play the game if i put SF disc one in... but i can't patch up to 1.41

just start your game play one round online on whatever patch your on and it should create all those folders again

the problem is.. every time i connect to an online game
it closes BF2

right click on your bf2 shortcut and go to properties. in the box labeled target, find +fullscreen 1 and change it to a zero. this will start bf2 in a window. (you might have to change your resolution or the buttons will be misaligned). join a bf2 server and see if it gives you an error message when you get to the crash point.


alternatively, if you're crashing at verifying client data its because you have no disk and are you're using a cracked .EXE

find your disk or buy a new one to fix this.

uh-huh, you lost your bf2 disk #1.  Very likely story.  Yea, either likely, or you are LYING to all of us.  You dont own BF2, you installed it from a torrent and you want us to provide you with a legal BF2 key.

wow.. yeah .. if u would like me to.. i can take a picture of both sets of CDs from SF my digital camera is literally like 4 inches away from me... I have played this game since release. Its just my comp has been really buggy .. and i cleaned it out a while ago.. actually directly b4 installing bf2142...my player on this is iroko if you want to see my stats... but yeah anyway.. i would just like to have a few matches on BF2 because 2142 is pissing me off

tried that.. and no.. no error message...
