My problem is everytime i press the power button the PC asks me which operating system i want to use

Windows XP
or
Windows XP

I partitioned my harddisk in to 90GB (c:drive) and 60GB(d:drive) for games and the windows is installed on the c driver anyone know a way for me to stop it asking me the same bloody question? Windows XP is on the c:drive and nothing except my games are on the d:drive.

PS:dont wanna reformat again took ages -_-

Exactly. Just edit your boot.ini file to remove the other OS entry.

Right click 'My Computer', then 'Properties' then the 'Advanced' tab, then 'Startup and Recovery' then "To edit the startup options file manually, click here:" then click the 'Edit' button beside that.

Remove the "multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(1)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect" (or whatever yours looks like) and then save it.

Now, you have to know which one is which...you could delete the wrong one and screw it up.

EDIT: I recommend you write down that line. If you happen to delete the wrong one, you can boot off your XP CD and edit the boot.ini and fix it.

multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(4)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect

ah i see now, when i start it up i always pick the first one, so its the 2nd one i should delete?

multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(4)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect
