FireFox and IE

Ok, well I want FireFox, but my mom wants to keep IE, but she is afraid that if I download FireFox that she will lose IE and all her favorite, and that some important websites won't work.

Can I have FireFox on my account and she can have IE on her account?

Yea, if you download FF, you'll still have IE on your computer. Just keep IE as an icon on her desktop, and then put FF as an icon on yours.

Ryan, Firefox and IE are different programs which DO NOT rely on each other. You can run both at the same time within the same Windows user account, or you can run either one separetely. All the favorites will stay in IE and you can create new favorites in Firefox, and they will remain separate.

You could download Avant browser, which is what I use, and it will use some of the IE technoogy so the history will be the same in IE and Avant.

So solution to your problem. Download FireFox, Install, and dont worry about it because nothing will be removed.

Firefox and IE are two completely different programs. You can have both and you will still have your bookmarks for both. I believe you can also transfer your bookmarks from IE to Firefox if you'd like. Hell, I have 3 browser, I have Opera, IE, and Firefox. I use Opera all the time, and Firefox for those few sites that Opera isn't compatible with yet. IE I don't really use much.

You could try using IE Tab, and default her favourite sites to render in IE (not that there's much of a difference now). And just import the favourites when you install, like it asks you.

And IE7 is a shitebucket. I installed the RC and haven't used it since, (have 7.0 now hoping for an improvement... nope).

Show me Opera/IE7 equivalents for:

- NoScript
- FlashBlock
