Ive bin searching for 2 days now to find an answer on how to update the bios with a floppy.
And i really cant find anything.
There's something in the manual, but its kinda short, and its not my native language so im lost.

So i got the new .Rom file and i put it on the floppy, then i copy "afudos" from the mobo cd onto the floppy.
But then what?,    the manual says to start the pc up in dos mode,  but how do i do that?.
and secondly what do i type then?.
Again the manual says to type:     afudos / i [filename]        where filename stands for the bios version on the floppy.
Is this really all you have to do,   or am i missing some things,    for example:   maybe a: somewhere, or something else?.
like i said in my previous thread,  ive never ever  flashed the bios,  and i now know why.

Its for a asus p5w-dh-deluxe mobo

You need to set the BIOS to Boot From Floppy Drive, and then reboot. Most motherboards do this by default.

Why are you flashing your BIOS?

K thanxs.
The reason is because im in the process of overclocking my system, and ive heard that the 1707 bios is one of the best.
Also it should give me a 8x multiplier option.

Edit:   all done now,   running 1707 ass we speak.
