Cheating or Legit?

I use a little tactic all of my own and to many peoples disbelief, it works! Although, I've had a few people call it lame or cheating or "unsportsman like" but I think it's fucking hilarious.

It goes pretty much like this.

Example:

I sneak over a hill and see an enemy tank in a good spot to basecamp or defend or whatever (he's in a good spot to kill shit). He's just sitting there and killing everything that moves and no one can even get close. So I look at his name (we'll call him....Joe) and then I type something like "WOW Joe, you're really good, how long you been playing?". Then I wait for him to type back something like "6 mon". I try to spark him into conversation until I can get realitivily close to him without being seen. Then I type in "Hey Joe, whats your website?". As soon as I see him stop movig to type I run up, throw some C4 on him and before he can hit the Enter key and react I blow him, and sometimes myself, up.

I do it to everyone. If I see someone doing good, I use this to screw them over and put some cheap points in my pocket. The great thing is that people fall for it 2 or 3 times per round.

Is this cheating or legit?

i sometimes initiate votekicks so they start complaining. this method almost -always- brings them into a heated conversation diverting their attention away from the game

And that is a great tactic! Utterly un-lame. . . and amazing that it works more than ONCE in a round?

I d say its legit, the only thing you do is get him to talk on server chat, nothing wrong with that. Its their own choice to talk back and not defend their vehicle. Its a bit like using a flashbang if u ask me, only alot smarter.

Have you thought of a name for it? How about the suck-up-and-boom tactic.

Nevertheless, most people in a tank won't stop what they are doing to reply. people never reply to me when i talk to them.

I remember convos and type back when im dead, and only when im dead. I have a 2.79 SPM that needs to be increased to 3.5 So more chatting less fraggin = lower SPM hehe

I actually use that tactic alot though when im commander, its much easier for the enemy to read, and they feel that with you being important when you provoke them they have to respond.. it gives your team plenty of time to frag them.. especially if you have 2 full squads of players on Teamspeak with you

If I ever stop to type something while I'm in a tank, I get out of the open and hide. Like for instance somebody says, "Is there an admin here? I need somebody kicked" I'll drive the tank into a little hiding and reply to his request.

Cheating no, cowardly / retarded yes only an idiot would start talking when hes in a tank i hardly ever talk and either do the other people.

Once though i was playing on a server and the idiots were talking like its a chat room they were talking about school and all kinds of overweight nerd related activities.
