Infantry only is gay! Look at the size of the maps ffs!
I have one quote for IO-lovers that's often used in this forum when somebody whines that suits now more than ever:
Infantry only fans, GO PLAY CS FFS!

many dumb things have been added/changed in BF2, but this is by far the dumbest.

Just had to get it of my chest...

Yes, IO is crap.
I fail at infantry but sometimes play some IO rounds, and almost always get ratios like 3:1.
It looks a lot like stats padding on k/p servers imo, same mechanics.
Was playing Ghost Town IO yesterday and it was the same all the time: people bunched up behind a corner with a supply crate spamming grenades on the other side of the corner.

On k/p is people bunched up behind a corner with a supply crate shooting with their pistols. Different weapons, same gameplay.
