ok, my friend here recieved his Marksman Infantry medal while playing a round of BF2 the other day. as you might know, the requirements are all veteran infantry badges, and 300 hours time played. he has the veteran badges, but only ~240 hours played. if someone tells me under what circumstances he got the award, you win free karma, or possibly sexual favors, if youre into that sorta thing.

stats for said player... check his Marksman medal.

Hmm wonder if that means the time requirements for other badges are screwed? May try to see if i can get 20 supply points in a round despite needing over 50 hours for expert resuplly

Well yes they were nerfed back at an earlier patch didn't it used to be 500 or 600 hours something like that? I don't think EA would adjust it yet again.

I had the same kind of thing happen with the Middle East Service Ribbon. I've yet to play Zatar Wetlands (not even sure what the map looks like) but I received the ribbon...

On topic, it's probably a glitch of some sort. It happens. I got my Insurgents Service Ribbon a couple hours short of the 50 hour mark...

Why strange? I gather from you comment that this is a good/great map for sniping. It's not that I wouldn't or won't play it, it's that when I play bf2 (between 0200 and 0500 hours) I've never seen a server with the map in it's rotation.
