I know you don't care but I don't care that you don't care so I'm gonna tell you anyway. Plus I don't have any "real" friends so I don't have anyone else to tell even if I wanted to

Both of my dogs passed the State test in one try on the same day so I now have 2 OFFICIAL Search & Rescue dogs.
Dogs usually don't pass on there very first try here period. Not only did BOTH of my dogs pass but they did it one after another (with the lady going first of course).

This is something we've been training for since April of 2006.
I think it was prolly the first time in my life I forgot my camera so I had to get a disposable film camera to get the pics there but I'm put them up when they get developed.

Sally isn't a fan of the camera so it's hard to get good pictures of her by herself

*Edit:* btw if anyone cares, Merlin (the black & brown one) is a Black & Tan Coonhound/Beagle Mix & Sally is a purebread American Foxhound (if I would have got her from birth she would have won tons of doggy competitions because of her colors)
I got them both around the same time from the Western Pennsylvania Humane Society.

Nice dogs!
I would like a dog.. But my parents never won't let me have a dog while I'm still living in their house, and at my appartment I simply can't have the dog I want because.. Well it's an apparment..
Anywhoo, I'll probably get a dog as soon as I'm on my own & able to keep a dog..
(Really want something like a Husky or so.. A dog that resembles a wolf.. -I'm obsessed by wolves- )

Thank you. There's not alot of violent stuff in Pittsburgh so although we're certified to search & rescue hunt if i bomb were to go off or if criminals were hiding in a big building like a school or shopping mall it prolly won't happen. If a kid gets lost, we get paged, if a hunter or fisherman goes into the woods & doesn't come out for a long time & someone gets worried, we get paged, stuff like that. We have enough police dogs where I live so I highly doubt we'll ever get into anything exciting in that way but we're also going into schutzhund (i think thats how it's spelled) training so we can help with law enforcement more (like if someone gets pulled over by a cop & takes off, the police dog can only go one way so dogs like mine would be called to take altetrnate directions).

Nothing super exciting but that's the kinda stuff they're certified for. I've heard it's usually lookin for little kids that wondered away from home but that's definitely worthy.

Thank you very much. These pictures weren't taken with a disposeable camera, the ones at the actualy ceremony thing were. These were taken with a Canon 30D by me & edited by me also. These are really just snapshots with a little extra Photoshop "touch" but Photography & Digital Imaging is where I get a fairly decent percentage of my income.

wow, you guys have some really pretty dogs.
i got my wife a 2 month pure bred female black lab for christmas, and now im working on training her.
congrats on passing the search and rescue test....i could only imagine how proud you must be.
