GL rampage. Feel kinda bad........

Was playing on Game Arena 64player last night. Had a few decent rounds then people starting leaving (it was getting late i suppose).
it got to a point where there were only about 18 people on the server.
so the map changes to karkand and i thought to myself, well i'll go for my vet knife badge.
anyways (i was USMC) i go off to the hotel to do some slash and dash
i come up to my first victim when he turns around and GLs me point blank.
i say nevermind, i'll try again.
this time i come up against a couple of them trying to ambush my teammates. as i am about to stick it to of of the them them other turns around and GLs the both me and his team mate. what a nut!
so this guy (i won't mention his nick/pid cos technically he didn't do anything wrong) keeps up the GL rampage and i bear the brunt of it as i dash around with my knife.
after about 11 deaths and only 1 kill i get fed up and do what i have not done ever before. i spawn with the F2000 and go purely GL. what the heck. i wanted to give that guy a taste of his own medicine.
but i went beyond that.
and i proceeded to do what i hated. noob tubing every enemy in sight. near, far, 1 or in a bunch, i GLed them.
did it till people were calling me a cheat.
ended the round with around 30 kills with the GL. had only about 40+ GL global before that.
i hate to admit it but it was kinda fun to be be on the other end of a GL for once, feel kinda bad but wtf, its just a game....

gl is a deadly weapon if used effectively. I dont use it on bf cause i dont like the weapon its attached to and theres no teampoints for using that kit and im all about team points but on socom I own with the gl. either way its a very effective weapon.

I have used it during a few rounds to take out my frustration and there is something strangely satisfying about it. I would never use it regularly though because I'd feel like a prick and a hypocrite.

I feel only jubulation when I kill someone with the GL. Honestly, I don't see how can everyone get so pissed off when it's part of the game. IT'S EXPLOSIVE.

Correction: There are in teampoints to begained using that kit. They come in the form of kill assists e.g. enemies who escape your nade launcher blast but go onto get killed later.

Getting up to 5 "victims" in a crowded alley on Karkand with just ONE shot really makes my day especially when I see the list of dead people pop up with my name next to theirs

I dont realy care if people use it... But it can be pretty frustrating when the same guy pops u 2 or 3 times when hes bunny-hopping around... (And your all like: WTF u noob-tubing whore... AAHHHHH) if u look at the stats u will se the bunny hasnt got a great score... And its so fun to get him back... Preferably in a Tank since im not the greatest infantry player in the world...

I don't mind getting killed with the gl, I mind noobs using it when i've got them dead to right's they will throw the nade between their feet and kill us both. Thats where the *noob* in noob tube comes from.

End result is, he costs his team 1 point, himself 2, but mine only 1. He'd be better off just taking the death like a man.

except hopefully, you're worth more to your team than he is to his, so losing you for 15 seconds is a big blow to your team...

yeah i love it when my medium/ long range GLs hit their target or when they take out a crowd.
i hit a guy running away squarely on his back, was near the karkand square AT emplacement and he was near the hotel steps. SWEET.

F2000 is my fav kit except for my L85A1, my F2000 never gets much of a workout because I keep trying to use it like I'm a medic. Dammit I'll trade my flashbangs in if they'll give me medkits, even my armour!

Frankly, the biggest joy for me is when they start wailing and moaning about what a n00b t00ber I am. Just knowing that chewing up the carpet and cursing at their monitor adds a certain element of spice to the game.

I had 15 hours with the Assault just to get my Vet badge, and all 15 hours I used the g3 Upgrade, however as the patch is going to come out soon, im hoping, and I need 100 hours to get my expert, I thought what the hell I might as well make that my next kit (I was going to get engineer Expert next)

Anyway, decided to try the grenade launcher for once.

Some 55:21:25 Hours 4,821 Kills 2,108 Deaths (Ratio 2.29 )

I decide I quite like this kit, as Mec I play with the ak 101, awesomely powerful weapon.. and as USMC I play with the f2000, that thing is amazing.. sometimes it just seems to aim for the head itself, I would say I can kill snipers with the f2000 about every 4 in 5 times.

Anyway, as soon as I get my 100 hours im stopping assault

I Dont mind the GL it was put in the game for a reason i hate the people who just seem not to be able to kill anyone without it or whilst using it they kill themselves, Theres one squad i know that i have seen go a whole round and pretty much have only GL kills only one member used his rifle and that was the medic lol
