He played about 60 hours somewhere that counts towards the medal but doesn't count towards his total time stats. A mod? An expansion pack? 2142??
Well I look at his over all time, the SF and junk added it all up to 241 hours. So I figured it wasn't that. I still think the server just got confused. Like one of those days when you're a private all of a sudden, and you get awarded your basic trash again. I also checked his other awars, he didn't get anything else on the 14th, no? I don't know what it is!?!?!

happens.. i got my U.S medal long before i had required hours.. same goes for couple of my other awards with time requirements

Hmm... A couple of off-the-wall guesses...
1. It's based upon theater time.
2. He has an old PID, and didn't seem to play for quite some time up until December 21, so he may be playing on an older patch.
3. He's a part of the beta testing for the next patch, and maybe there's some odd glitchiness between it and the current rank system.

No one is ever going to guess correctly because it's a glitch. It would be nice to know if he was reset or not, but it probably doesn't matter.commandochristian wrote:

WINNER! DeltaF0RCE still plays 1.41, but he played a half hour round of 1.03 (remember the old requirements?) and recieved the award, regardless of the time requirement. enjoy your karma!TrueArchon wrote:

Quite possibly. I believe I was playing a lot of the "IMA" server and the "War Is Hell" server yesterday. Especially a lot of the latter (which I think plays Mashtuur). Your name does look familiar, now that you brought it up.t0mhank5 wrote:

Aren't ranked servers supposed to run the current version only? ie 1.41.

supposed to, yes. but theres quite a few ranked, populated servers on past versions. 1.12 seems to have lost its players for the most part . but 1.03 has a good 3 or 4 fully populated ranked 32 size servers.Stubbee wrote:

ok, my friend here recieved his Marksman Infantry medal while playing a round of BF2 the other day. as you might know, the requirements are all veteran infantry badges, and 300 hours time played. he has the veteran badges, but only ~240 hours played. if someone tells me under what circumstances he got the award, you win free karma, or possibly sexual favors, if youre into that sorta thing.
