fraps you can record anything...ive done it....not sure what your asking for....but i hope that helps.  I know ive used fraps for anything.

fraps does not record your desktop, only directx 9 based programs

Adobe makes Captivate, used to be made by Macromedia before it was bought out by Adobe. Great program I have used it to make a little money, and also for a Flash class I was a TA for.

And there is the lesser known Camtasia, another TA showed it to me actually.

They both have free trials, GLHF.
