Just a question, what's the difference between the normal engy rocket launchers and the AA weapon unlock for them?
lol, are you serious?DaBombadier wrote:

The AA Unlock is only good against air vehicles (surprise!). You hit shit on the ground with it.
Well at least it should be, because you can lock onto 1 enemy transport outta, let´s say 10, due to a stupid big (surprise again!)
The stock rocket launcher is the contrary.
But if you equip one of them, you don´t see a difference in the skin. Just the scope differs, which really annoys me. I just keep forgetting which one I put into my pack.

Mostly, I use the Voss and Lambert a bit, but when it comes to support stock all the way. Even after the upgrade to the Ganz, I still think its a POS.
Zeller-H ASR, Lambert Carbine and Clark 15B shotgun, Voss are about the only unlocks i use once in a while.
It all depends on how you play. I find the Scar 11 fine on EU but as many have said, the Krylov is the way to go. Thought you really can't avoid unlocks or you are gonna suck ass.
And for the record, Ganz+ titan vents=very yes

Only Level 1 unlocks, but this could be due to the Serversettings on unranked infantry only servers. :]
I use the sniper/ the medic unlocks.
I can't live without the sniper rifles
If i'm at MEC i play with the SVD

Lets sort it out, very briefly...I've said it dozens of times, and this is the best advice I can give for weapon unlocks.
Krylov: Stock weapon, massive destructive potential: when used properly, I take out entire squads if used in short bursts; it puts the Voss to shame at times, but panic fire still means you'll hit nothing but air. ROF is very high, so be cautious; SCAR 11 isn't so good, unfortunately.
Baur H-AR: Marksman rifle in single-shot, extremely effective at medium to long range, hindered by high but predictable recoil; at most distances, can take out support classes (read: important!) Must-have for those who like heavy guns with high damage potential--fair warning, you'd better sharpen your close-quarters skills if you use it, and be precise.
Voss L-AR: All-around good rifle for Assault: high ROF, suppressive, and dependable in short bursts up to 60 meters (and more, if you're good). Combine with Rifle rockets to dominate any distance--good solid unlock for prolonged firefights.
Pilum H-AVR: Engineer unlock that makes Engineer class merely camper to extremely agressive, when used in combo with Motion Mines. More damage potential in soft-spots of enemy armor, no lock-on tone, making it a silent kill. Be prepared to lead against moving targets, and it's no sniper rifle (deviation). One of my personal favorites.
Zeller-H ASR: Useless in my opinion, but can clear mines/explosives and 1SK light body armor (chest, torso or head shot). 3 round clip and long reload times means you WILL have to camp with it. Stock rifles allow you to be more agressive of a sniper, with larger clips and lengthier suppression time.
SAAW86: Useless unlock for air targets, get it last.
Lambert Carbine: Makes Recon agressive and Close-Quarters much easier (titan in particular) or defending areas, when used in conjunction with APM's and RDX. low recoil and can take stabilizer upgrade, damage potential is moderate.
Clark 15B shotgun: Close-Quarters master, aim for upper chest and head to ensure one shot kills at close range; will have to use other means to engage long-range targets as Support.
Ganz HMG: Useful for camping, the damage uppage from patch 1.10 is not to be underestimated: lower ROF means you will have to get in the first shot, better-used at longer ranges (Titan corridors, for example)
Please don't make me repeat all that. Hope this helps the newbies.

You forgot about the Squad Leader and Global Unlocks!Magius5.0 wrote:

Global level 1. Hand Grenades. Critical, and should be one of your very first unlocks; if not for the 'nades themselves, then as a stepping stone to the next two unlocks.
Global level 2. Increased sprint duration. An absolute must have. Helps you sprint longer (duh!)
Global level 3. Faster sprint recharge. Also a must have. Helps you recover your sprint bar faster (another duh)
Global level 4. extra pistol capacity. Gives EU +2 pistol bullets per mag, gives PAC +3 bullets per mag, and gives engineers on both side an extra SMG magazine. This is an important unlock for people who primaraly play as engineers, but less important for anyone else outside of a knife and pistol server.
Global level 5. +1 grenade. Gives you an extra frag grenade, and an extra smoke or EMP grenade if you have them equiped. May be nice, but I do not see the need.
Squad leader level 1. Spawn beacon. Must have, especially if you plan to spend any time as a squad leader.
Squad leader level 2. Scout drone. Acts like a mini UAV for your squad. Hovers over your head to mark you as a squad leader, but if your squad is playing together as a team, helps keep them from getting suprised. Pretty good unlock if you believe in teamwork.
Squad leader level 3. Gun drone. IF they ever get it working right, will be a pretty nice unlock, but if mostly iffy now, in my opinion. Someone in your squad needs to locate an enemy (have that little red diamond appear, and the gun drone goes to town, just like a sentry gun. But it does not appear to detect targets on its own, and it will only fire on detected targets.
Squad leader unlock notice: You need more people in your squad equal to the unlock level in order to activate these unlocks. In other words, you need 1 additional person in your squad (besides yourself) for the spawn beacon to work, even if you have it equipped. 2 additional to launch the scout drone, 3 besides yourself for the gun drone.
Yes, I know all the experienced people know this already; this is for the new people wondering how all this works.
Anyone who whines about people using unlocks vs. stock, and who uses the word "noob" is just plain pathetic. Who cares? A guns a gun, if they give it to you in the game, use it. I don't care people use...Minus perhaps the rocket launcher against infantry. Since my bullets can't be directed to their target in air, nor do they have splash damage capabilities.StRyKeR-191 wrote:

Yes and No.
I play the Recon kit most of the time and I only use the Morrietti sniper rifle.
If I am going to use other kits than I am going to use the following:
Assault: Baur or Scar-11
Support: Clark shotgun
I don't use the anti-tank kit.
