OK in the opening movie to BF2 my favorite part is when the Chinese tank rolls up and the AT guy kills it with one shot. My question is, is that one shot kill possible? I've have tried to do it and so far no luck on a undamaged tank.

Has anyone done it on a tank they knew was undamaged?

I tried finding this through using search, but gave up.

Well so far no replies...so like I thought it is probably just for the movies sake that they show a one hit kill. But it got me to thinking are they trying to show us it's possible with the perfect shot right in in a special hit box. lol

Anyway if it is possible I sure would like to hear about it.

hmmm well i think they're trying to make the game seem fun-er and easier than it actually by showing one shot kills so people wont say '' awww what a noob game, i like so totally unloaded a full mag in this guy and he wasnt even like half dead''

I don't think anti tank can do it but check this page out. If you click on the tank picture it shows you exactly where the hit points are and how much damage. It's possible if the tank was already damaged and you hit the front tracks i guess.

There is a spot for the 1-shot kill. Don't know exactly where, but the rocket hits, bounces and hits again in the weak spot under the turret.
Possible with AT rockets and tank shells.

i know u can 1 shot a tank with another tank and kill a tank with 2 AT rockets thats about it.

You can definitly do it with a TOW. There are certain parts of the tank with are very vulnerable. Areas near the turret and the tracks.

It already had gray smoke, but an SRAW would've taken it down to black smoke if it hit the front. They probably had C-4 on the back or side of the tank and timed the explosion.

Despite common misconception, the rear of a tank is not where it is most vulnerable.
The front/rear of the tracks are 1 hit kill from a TOW. Also, its 2 hits from a tank shell and 2 for AT rockets as well. A TOW will deal 20 damage (instant kill), tank shells and AT rockets are 10 each on this spot.
Always always aim for them.

Ok, with an At rocket there IS a one shot kill, it's on the underside of the tank. Don't ask me how you'd ever be in a position to get that shot off, but there it is. A TOW to the tracks is a one shot kill. As far as tank v. tank goes, there is a one shot kill where it hits the front of the tank and glances off to hit the turret again. That ONLY works for tank shells, not for AT rockets.

Thanks! So here's what we got...

1.no it's not possible
2.no, but a nice link to hit points
3.yes it's possible
4.the tank is already damaged...hmm iI never noticed that I'll have to watch it again...are you sure it's not engine smoke?
5.and another yes it's possible I've seen it a few times
6.you can do it with a tow...I knew this but thanks anyway

Alright I'll watch it again later and see if I think it's damaged, and anyone else chime in please. I will keep trying to do it.

I think I heard something about the main gun has to be pointing up, but maybe I dreamed that!
