Right while on this forum, and on BF2 on the whole I've heard quite a lot about PUBS.... and PUGS? and other similar things... can anyone explain to me what everyones on about?! I'm guessin PUBs are public servers, but still doesn't really make sense to me... thanks
Pubs are generally public ranked servers where anyone with any skill level can play on them.

No one adressed PUGs... PUGs are pick up games where people want to scrim yet don't have a clan/don't have anyone on and just put together enough people and play

PUG is a pick-up game.
PUG bascially means you have a clan match where a bunch of random people play not a "real" team
here's how a (real man's) pug works
join stixx's vent
make fun of the noobish people from the cal forums
2 team captains
play a good round of 14v14 or so on mashtuur
switch to a lame map like 32 oman and get raped by jets
everyone leaves except a few
end on a 6v6 on basrah or berlin or something, with people dropping off during the game.
theyre fun.

Oman is lame yesterday my PUG team just got raped in their main off the bat as MEC, after that I left lol. Berlin was... Interesting though.c0mplex1ty wrote:

PUG = CAL players getting together on a vent server, not on a team or anything, and playing scrim's. PUB = kidding yourself that you are good by killing all the little 12 year olds on a public server. (Actully, just playing on a public server).
