BF 2142 in a foreign land!! What do I do?

I'm sorry for posting this message here! I couldn't figure out the best spot for it.

I LOVE playing BF, however, I am tiring of playing alone. I'm trying to find a clan, but it's difficult. This is because I live in Thailand. Connecting to servers outside of Thailand is out of the question (Lag - Thailands poor internet infrastructure). But all of the servers here are full of Thai's that I can't communicate with. I've tried looking at different forums here in Thailand, but all of them are in Thai.

any ideas of how I can start an English speaking clan in Thailand? More specifically how to reach out to the English speaking players and where? I've checked some of the different English forums that some of the foreigners use here, but have had no success.

Join a singaporian clan . They speak English, and with satellite internet (very expensive), the lag won't be so bad...

EDIT: Really, you don't need a clan. Just join a squad in game (one that keeps together mostly), and you'll be hunting in a large group in no time.

Thanks for the info, I've tried contacting a couple of Singaporean clans but haven't got any response. As far as joining the squads, I know that. Thank you. But I would like to be able to use team speak, or at a minimum type a few messages that the other clan members would understand.

There are some Thai players that talk in the game. I can understand some of their conversations, but not well enough to make it worth while. Unfortunately I haven't communicated with anybody (in game) that can understand my English (or Thai).

So many tourists go there I thought it would be pretty important to learn at least one foreign language.

sitetrack: i live in france but i am back in singapore for a short while. it's impossible to get connected to Thailand servers, esp on 2142. the taiwan and ozzie servers are ok. back in the early days of bf2, Thai servers were fine. so joining a singaporean clan might not help.

Well, I live in Thailand and use English! . I know a couple people that I play with in the Thailand servers that use English although not sure if they are already in a clan or not.

I can try looking for others but as of right now, I think its me and my other 2 friends that use English in the Thailand servers.

kinda off topic-Having HUGE problems finding a server for 2142 in Ireland during the day. The local gamin cafe has nothing for me. Went there yesterday and there was only one populated ranked server and it only had like 10 people in it. LAME.

Tell them to download the latest patch for BF2142 on there computers.
