If you like the scar 11 go with the Bauer and you won´t be dissapointed but sure the voss is great, easy to use large magasin very useful in most situaitions.  But you should rememer you get the AR rockets in the Bauer tree.

I like the Voss much more than the Baur.  I can't seem to get many kills with the Baur for some reason...

Baur, more power + rockets + lightning fast reloads + looks cooler than the voss.

Depends largely on your playing style and if you have a support guy near you.  If you like to shoot for accuracy at longer ranges, then get the Baur.  The Voss is ok at distance on single shot, but doesn't have the power.  For running and gunning around flags without ammo support, the Voss wins with it's bigger clip and faster rate of fire.

I can't speak for the Voss but ever since I got the Baur I've gotten a lot more kills as Assault.

I have both and can say they are both good guns, I have a very good K/D with the Baur and find it better for for medium ranges and ok at long. It is quite powerful and you can get lots of kill with it. The real negative is the 20 round clip, I always run out of ammo in the middle of a fight and end up dead because of it. The Voss is excellent at closer ranges and still alright for medium to long. But the fact it has very little recoil, fires much quicker and has 30 bullets it is much better up close.

The one main benifit of the Baur is unlocking the Rockets in the tree. They are very useful and can get you alot of kills. The Netbat is also useful as you can see the class of the enemy before you go at them. And the Herzog shotgun is well....useless. The Voss tree is alright, The Defibulator is a must unlock no matter what tree you go with. The other unlocks in the Voss tree kind of suck but the advanced medic pack can be kind of usefull but it doesn't seem to have too much of a diffrence to me.

But either way you can't go wrong. You should be happy with either although I think the Baur is a tad overrated and I perfer the Voss.

Baur: 600 RPM, 4 body shots (or 2x headshots) delivers the fatal blow (assume no bullet power decrease)*
Voss: 900 RPM, 6 body shots (or 2x headshots) delivers the fatal blow

In the hands of a very good player, they can kill the enemy in roughly the same time in full automatic, give or take.  Typically, the Baur wins long-range fights (more stopping power) while voss rules CQC.  Baur is also lethal at close range, because it deals massive damge, however the recoil and deviation often spell the doom of the wielder if they don't aim dead-on.  Baur= pro gun, hard to use, but rewarding when mastered.

*Using figures for full body armor damage (typically light body armor goes down in 3 hits, and 4 for the voss...and almost NO ONE uses light body armor except people who love the extra few seconds of sprint)
