Unless you've been under a rock since around last October, you may have noticed that BF 2142 has no planes. While I'm truly okay with this, being that I only used planes to fly really fast somewhere and then bail, I know that the J-10 has grown to such a legendary whoring status, I feel a new incarnation of it should be brought into BF2142. Like the J-11. But I think it should be even better, just to make it even more infamous, so I could enjoy reading all those complaining topics about how it should be nerfed.

Anyone share this belief with me?

I could care less about a "J-11" I just want some fucking Jets.

Look at it this way, BF1942 had jets/planes, BFV had jets, BF2 had jets, why shouldn't BF2142 have Jets?

They killed part of the Battlefield Franchise when they didn't add jets into BF2142...

And if they ever do decide to add jets, it will cost us all +10 dollars, and they will most likely be nerfed so bad that they explode when you kill 1 person.

There are jets in 2142 but DICE nerfed them so much youy can't even see or use them.

They wouldn't fit in to this game. Maps might be big but if they would be the same, they would be to powerful. But then EMP would be useless because once hit they go forward untill it ends. no slowing down.

And no there are no jets in this game, doc just made a joke about it.

Both the gunships are very capable of being 'fighters' unfortunately they do not have the same aerodynamics that the legendary J-10 and Mig-29 once had. I mean honestly, do you want to go back to the days of 'get Fubarred in the ass on the carrier by the J-10?' Screw that man...Jets are so goddamn broken on BF2 it isn't even funny (rape, rinse, repeat...lol). Rocks had more impact on a jet than the freakin stinger sites.

They should just have it spawn on an airfield in the middle of a map. Make it a sort of....neutral vehicle.

Jets would be useless in this game. You can hardly see anything from a gunship or transport in most maps due to the weather graphics, imagine going at twice the speed and even higher altitude. Plus the maps are a lot smaller in BF2143, they would deliberatly have to create larger more visible maps if they were going to include jets.

And in the more obvious point, Jets ruined BF2, EA dont make the same mistake twice *rolls eyes*

i never used the jets in BF2 (too much PK'ing and frankly didnt find them as entertaining as ground pounding), so i dont miss them at all in 2142. wanna point whore with limited risk to your life Titan gunner maybe the role for you! i miss the arty in Titan mode more than jets because it makes commanding Titan a little more dull than usual.

besides, if you think about it, in the future there will likely be very limited jet use... we would be using Drone craft more than anything on the Battlefield.

Jets play no part in any semi-realistic game. Jets should NOT be in bf2. The simple fact is that the numbers of possible players in this game are too small to make it even remotely good to have planes or other such destructive vechicles. Lets face it in real life you have squadrons of fights, battalions of tanks. These things arent done in small numbers. Its stupid that they allow 2 planes per team in bf2 when there are only maximum 32 players on their side.

IMO the gunships are much closer to jets than helos. The only reason people compare the gunships to helos is because they hover and they have a gunner with a chaingun and tv missile. But the F-35 and Harrier hover. The gunships directs its jet exhaust to hover. There are no rotors. The things fly at fucking 600 km/h, how much faster do you want?

Jet whoring in BF2 was all but tolerable to us ground pounders. Yet, others (jet ho's) loved to point whore and own everyone: and they thought they were so freakin "leet" doing so. thank GOD that there are NO JETs in BF2142.

Why are people whining about not having jets??

Are these guys complaining because they cannot rape Aircraft Carriers like they did in BF2??

Find some other way to kill enemy. Gunship is a perfect anti infantry & Air-Transport when you have a good combination of pilot and a gunner. Probably the only things that are dangerous towards gunships are Stationary Anti-Air (Fuck those in BF2, Real jet should stay CLEAR of Anti-Air positions even with stealth technology) and Battle Walkers.
