ok when ever i download something from file planet with download manager like Americas army 2.8 and star wars galaxies i get a mess age at the end saying "Unable to open file. you do not have an application that is associated with this file extension" the file name is "SWG_trial_FP.exe.dllpartial


ANY one know how to fix this???? karma 4 help! it pissed me off that i had to waited 6 hours for 4 each of thease things so download now i have to do it again unless u can help

The extension .partial, means that it's only a fragment of the download.. where-ever you downloaded it too, check for other files and see if there is one that is just: .exe, .zip or .rar .

Although usually means that that the download didn't fully execute if you have partials, as they usually compile at the end of downloading.

also some websited dont like people sucking up bandwith with download menangers. Could be intentional.
Try starting the donwload again and choosing the file that you already have (the partial one).

Dont use any download managers if you have a decent broadband connection

You two above clearly have never used fileplanet. (Timelord_ & zeidmaan)

Reinstall the IGN Download manager, you probably had an older version of the IGN DM or an exception occurred while it was updating and generated errors on pending files.

Make sure it's finished downloading first. If your still seeing ".part" or ".partial" then I say it's not finished downloading or your supposed to download multiple parts at once (which it would tell you clearly though).
