Bad PC, 50/50 hitreg.
The only bad hit reg I get is when trying to TV a moving chopper.
I have a high end, and a low end computer, that I play Bf2 on. Oddly enough, hitregs register about the same for me, either computer. Sometimes they're spot on, sometimes they're not (for both computers).
Has anyone considered that issues may be coming from server side? Especially with server sizes varying from 16-64? Hell, it could be a combination of the home computers AND the server.

Terrible hit reg.
Terrible hit reg.
ive got a 3.6 p4 and a 1900xt with 1 gb of RAM, get shit reg with TV's and sometimes with infantry. Like putting 2 bursts of the M16 into someones head and they will still be on full health.
I have a mid range computer according to your list. I occasionally have it, but now I'm noticing it more and more. I just need to reformat or something.
"I have a mid-range CPU, and have occasional bad reg."
God I hate DICE's shoddy coding. Valve ftw!

Wow, I didn't really notice until I saw this. I really don't get any funny hitreg problems anymore. I mean occasionally I'll take a shot that misses & think i should have got a head shot but it's rare enough that it could easily just be bad aiming.
Since I installed my FX-62 I think it cured a good bit of my hitreg problems.....although I didn't really notice until now. Will have to pay attention tonight & let you know.

Was bad, has been much better recently thanks to RAM upgrade. I think it's my pings, I average about 100 on Aussie servers ...
Oh, mid range CPU. So only the occasional problem.

Whoa... Can't believe these forums are still kicking.
Its got far more to do with Internet latency than your PC performance. If you ran the same PC on a LAN with a local server your hitreg is vastly superior. If you don't have the luxury of a private server and LAN try the downloading BF264 mod and compare your hitreg when you PC is running a local server and 15 bots.
cpu has no effect on hitreg unless it is too slow to run the game.
the problem lies in the network coding for when the game is played online. this is why in single player and lan the hitboxes a virtually perfect.

the hit boxes arent always perfect on lan servers, http://forums.bf2s.com/viewtopic.php?id=61695
It`s no use i think, most people cant tell the difference between good/bad hit reg and sucking. I still appreciate your effort.SargeV1.4 wrote:

HIGH END PROCESSORS: AMD X2 series, FX series and better. Intel C2D series or the better CPU's from older series.
MID RANGE PROCESSORS: AMD 64 range and better. Intel P4 3GHz and better
LOW END PROCESSORS: AMD sempron and older, Intel P4 <3GHz and lower
If you don't know, DONT VOTE!
This poll is based on the fact that players I know who have high-end PC's get no weird gameplay, while those who share my problem have mid/low range CPU's.

Low end PC
I dont often get bad hit reg but i do at times when i dont need it

I just remembered:
A friend of mine has the shittiest old computer, only 1gb ram and the maps takes 10 minutes to load and it crashes all the time. He also have a 1mb connection while i have 4mb. he`s computer lag like like a motherfucker even with everything on low, but he`s hitreg is sick! Much better than mine we also live close to each other and both have latencycompensation set to 45ms.
I think it have a lot to do with the servers you play on and your internet provider, but who knows.

I have a 3500+ EXTREMELY bad hit reg, just take these few examples of my bad hitreg:
FX-53 and I suffer from some bad hit reg sometimes. Maybe it's because of the interpolation I've got it set at.
High End: C2D E6400 @ stock |X1800| 2GB of RAM.

I get the occasional bad hit reg with my new rig, similiar to Gravity's, while on my old system I learned to find the hitbox lagging behind the models.
good post bro
Don't go hiding any hit rego fixes on us now....Gravity wrote:
