Ok re-installing my laptop and every drivers i have tried so far have not worked.

So far i have tried 93-1.71 drivers 93.81 drivers and 82.12 drivers all from the NVIDIA site.

The one i was using before were of BF2S posted under the BF2 section under a topic for removing the background video's and create a new bf2 shortcut but unable to find the topic.

Anyone know of some good drivers for the 6800gs ? (256mb)

Karma to anyone that can help but all the previous drivers i have tried have came back with error-

Try using the drivers here.  Although if the official Nvidia drivers don't work, I'm guessing those won't either.

You sure it's not a 6800go? Sounds like that's might be the case if none of the other drivers have worked.

Go to www.LaptopVideo2Go.com and try their modded drivers.

No problem.  I use the official Nvidia drivers myself as I haven't had good luck with those, but some people really report success with those.  So it's 50/50.  Good luck.

Don't you need to download the "go" drivers for a laptop card?

Try the link in my previous post, or go to your notebook manufacturer's site and get the drivers from there.

Just start it up in safe mode, then go onto system restore and restore it to an earlier date, then install the drivers it needs if you can find em'.

Before you start to RMA it try booting in Safe Mode. That'll use the default Windows video driver, and if that works then the card is fine and the drivers are the problem. If that's the case, while still in Safe Mode uninstall the NVIDIA drivers, reboot in Safe Mode yet again and run Driver Cleaner Pro. Then reboot normally and install the drivers from your notebook's manufacturer.

I had restored earlier and also re-installed windows twice.

Will give it a try now,as i re-installed there is no drivers listed for it (or there but will give it another go.)

EDIT-Yeah same problem i unistalled the drivers and ran driver cleaner. The rebooted and ran the default notebook drivers and rebooted.
Got past the windows XP loading page then before it gets to the log in, the screen show tiny red blotches on the screen then black screen then i light grey/white screen then my laptoo will reboot.

I can see that it seems my gfx card works fine when using windows default drivers but any thing else it doesn't like.
