You don't have to actually climb the grapple or cross the zipline to get credit. I got my basic badges by just tossing/shooting and retrieving them.

How did you manage to kill LongshanksMcStabbers 45 times in a round? How did you manage to kill BAD_mtha_F 22 times in a round and get killed by him 19 times in a round?rombaft wrote:

yeah i just shot it and picked it up, didnt ride it.
to the person who asked, bad, pascoe, and longshanks are all rl friends, weve lanned it up together many times. in all that time playing together weve been on some servers when they empty out, leaving only a handful of guys. before we leave the server if it gets really low we have grudge matches for bragging rights among us, resulting in a decent amount of kills on each other in a round(not insane tho, not like the hundreds of folks on statpadders.com with over 200 kills on the same guy in a round. 64 player dragon valley with like 10 people in the server takes forever for the round to end, if i remember correctly thats the one i waxed the hell outta longshanks on.

hey, I take great pride in my boredom to fly a helo up as high as possible and then parachute down. that was a tough waste of a round.

hehe depends which medal yer talkin about. the 25000 kills one wasnt boring to get, tho the chinese service medal was a pain in the ass(idled on wake 24/7 servers for over 100 hours right b4 SF came out).
its not too boring if ya got cable tv 3 feet away though hehe.
im never gonna get the armor/airplane/chopper medals tho prolly, im too much of an infantry whore.
oh nice u got the crew service ribbon? i was 3 kills short once, but thats as close as i got.

my basic zip grapple and tactical showed up ingame ..i dont think it would be any different for vet's
and it doesnt matter if you leave before the rounds ends the stats will report ..so if you did it then the server must not be reporting

edit: jsut noticed something weird tho: they have 'sergeant major of the corps' listed as a rank achievable at 250000, and no second lieutenant. wtf? do the rankings work differently for euro players?

lol i just dont like flying the planes, i love ground combat. and yes those fellas you mentioned are rl friends of mine, we have had many drunken lan parties. anyways usually at least one or two servers a night end up emptying out while were in it, but often times we have grudge matches trying to kill each other a fair amount before we end up finding a new server. anyways its legit, not my fault im the best among my friends lol.chitlin wrote:

Can you just sit there and like shoot, pick up, shoot, pick up the zip/grapple like a million times or do you need to actully use them for it to count?

hehe it wasnt hard. got the vet legit since my friends and i always play with one with grappling hook and one with zip. then i shot the zipline at a wall for 2.5 hours while watching a B action flick marathon to get the expert. what can i say, the movie wasnt exactly intellectually stimulating so i kept my hands busy. 3 buttons was all it took.Cbass wrote:
