BF2S Forums The G36E, Good or Bad?

really, well maybe i just dont get on with the gun, but without full auto, how are you supposed to get someone in close quarters?

Personally i feel the G36E is the best weapon available to the medic class.

The recoil  on  L85A1 is way to much when trying to "snipe" with the zoomed view. if you dont get your enemy's in the first few shots you are likely to be powned anyway.

Believe me there is a reason why they make this gun a 3 shotter instead of full auto. A full auto version in the hands of someone with a great aim would make this weapon "unbalanced". If you aim for the head you can get almost any class with 1 "burst". The overall accuracy is much better on the G36 series so thats why i think it's better then the  L85A1.

Like "das capital" said avoid close combat sitiations , the medic never was and will be a first line "assault class". rather a Second line,  more of a support class.

Now i also see why you prefer the L8, prolly because you play close combat with a medic and in that situation the L8 maybe a better choice because of its full auto fire. But, due to the lack of armor on the medic you will ALWAYS have a disadvantage against heavy armor classes like "assault" or "anti tank".

This a great example of how your weapon of choice should depend on the style you play.

Offensive "first line" => L8.  (Accuracy irrelevant ... rate of fire important due to it's close combat nature.)
defensive "second line" => G36E. (Accuracy improtant due to "sniping" nature, best used in 1 shot mode so rate of fire less important.)

Up to you to draw you own conclusions

If you enjoy CQC the G36E still rules. You just have to be able to hit your enemy in the head the moment you spot him. I use it a lot on Warlord in the palace and I have gotten so many kills with it in close quarters. But you have to aim for the head if you don't want to get jackhammered

Long range it just owns.

yea but without full auto and close quarters fighting you lose out on a lot of points.

personally i prefer support to any other class due to the fact that you can kill anything that walks if your good at it! heavy armor, 100 rounds per mag,unlim ammo! ,unbeatable!

always thought the l8 sucked in close combat, too weak, too much recoil. decent long and medium ranges. i really like the new gun, you can fire burst mode pretty rapidly and it's an ace in spray accuracy compared to the l8, making it much better at close ranges. i prefer it greatly. as far as medic guns go the only one better is the ak

I take it you are a firm beleaver in the statement " when in doubt empty the magazine."?  You do not need full auto for everything you do if you can play.  I am not good but I still thing if you use the least number of bullets for each kill, you will be able to kill more before getting resupplied.  Which is good when you have commanders that rather use supplies to fix arty as opposed to being a engineer and fixing it by him(her)self.

L85A1 IW (SA80) for ever. It has automatic for close to medium range and single for medium to long range you lot saying u dont need automatic wot if you are clear a building you have a much greater chance of surviul with a automatic weapon but u also need singal for ranged quarters. the SA80 is the answer its great from close to long ranges.

G36E is the best weapon (G36K is better cause it has full too but... nea)... L85A1 is shit somehow.

aye i would agree completely there the L85A1 recoil sucks single shoot there for sniping , but the G36E is great for taking more then one guy down at a go , ive not unlocked it yet , but it is the next unlock im going for  first thing i look for in a game is a dead medic bag check to see if the weapon is there other wise i keep me L85A1

As someone nicely said: G36E means "prrt, prrt => dead"....

lol, I so hate vsin guys wit the G3, deadly lil gun that one, though personally I prefer to use the F2000.

The G36E rocks, I was very dissapointed wen I unlocked the L85, and stuck to using the original medic weapons, but after playing SF I decided to unlock the G36E, because quite simply, in my opinion, it's one of the best assault rifles in the game.

Long range, medium, or short, this gun has served me very well. Just last night on shaqui peninsula I managed to get 17 kills with it in short to medium range b4 being taken down by a c4 thrower. Single shot at long range has allowed me to take on and beat even snipers, and the 3rnd burst at close range... my suggestion, aim for the head . 3rnds in the head will put down any soldier very fast .

Basiclly, in rl n in BF2, the H&K G36 series are very well made and reliable range of weapons, and I'm happy to hav one in my hands on the battlefield
