Hey everyone;

I am in rather desperate need of an external harddrive enclosure which will support the majority of harddrive types (primarily IDE (PATA), SATA, and SATA II) and allow me to connect it to the PC via USB 2 or Firewire.

1) Does anyone have any recommendations?
2) I need to be able to get hold of it in the UK. I've been searching Google for about an hour, and everything I find is either in the US, or isn't what I want.

Ok this is off the bat...but I have one and it works well.....

There are plenty of them about on Ebay mine took 6 days to arrive....  does SATA IDE 3.5 and 2.5 all via USB

Dude, that first idea is genius (the separate lead).  +1   

I've left it too late to buy that one though. I'll find another...

There are loads of them about....one of the best buys I made...I do a lot of data recovery and this saves opening up a desktop all the time...I can even take the software on a laptop connect up this puppy and it fits in your pocket!!

Errr that's really. Really. Weird.

I do data recovery too, and that is the exact reason I'm buying this.
