BF2S Forums Snipers and Stealth Camo

i think it would be a bad idea
imagine snipers with active camo lying everywhere on the map waiting for someone to pass by
but noone does because everyone else does the same

sounds pretty boring to me
maybe your friend just sucks at finding the right spot to snipe

No. That is the whole reason they didn't allow you to use your rifle while hidden in the first place.

So here's another question: to fix it no annoying sound + more invisibility?

I think that when you activate the camo, it should stay on for about 45 seconds withour you having to hold down the button so you can get in a bit of sniping, but so you cant lie there for the whole round doing so.  But the camo's sound should stay.

I went around knifing people earlier today with the Active Camo.  At long range people ignore you, or they'll go like 'wtf was that?' But typically don't pay any heed.  Using it on a busy map may also buy you some more invisibility because most players are automatically fixed on all 'visible' and immediate threats; it's important to re-cloak as soon as you can then run like hell to a more secure spot.  The stealth disengage+knife to the back timing typically is short enough that they won't react until it's too late.  I was two away from my goddamn Gold Collectors Badge, too...15!!!

Or, you can drop bombs at their feet (RDX) then blow them to hell, if you want to make short work of them...that always works.

There's no problem with it at all.  I still run in front of support guys, jumping up and down in front of them and crouching repeatedly to tease them, and still they don't see me.  Those guys who can't even see the camo balance out hawk-eyed people who do.  And the idiots deserve a knife in the back.
