I have noticed a lot that you can throw a grenade in 2142, but if you die after that gernade is thrown, it won't blow up. Whats up with that?

- Should gernades still blow even after you die?
its like that in bf2 too... and yes, that is one of the most infuriating things in the bf series.
Add me on Origin for Battlefield 4 fun: DesKmal
It does explode, just not when you get killed exactly as you threw it. And yes, it is frustrating.
IMO if the pin has been pulled, the nade should go off no matter if you die or not.
indeed just when you are between like 4 guys, you pull out the grenade, hear the pin *click*, see your soldier make the trow, you die...AND NOTHING HAPPENSDes.Kmal wrote:

PHEW!, when i read the name of the thread i thought someone wanted them not to blow.
But i hate it too when nothing happens when you die just when you have pulled the pin the grenade.

Next to the huge delay between droping from a high point and being able to actually shoot, the grendades strangely tied to your health is the most infuriating thing in this game I feel.
I also feel (probably to a lot of noob's dislike) that if your about to throw a grenade and have the pin pulled but die before you throw it, it should fall to your feet and blow up.

I would have had the double my teamkills if that was implementedElamdri wrote:

Yeah its a pain in the arse them not exploding. Though sometimes for me they do or seam to.
But everytime i biff a nade then die, they look like they will take out a few guys, but nothing happens. It REALLY piss's me off.
I agree with someone above. Once you are dead and the pin has been pulled it goes off!!!.
The other thing i hate about nades is that they take WAY too long to go off. BF2 their ROF is really fast, not so in 2142, i want a fast ROF lol

Please God yes, make them blow up after you die. If you sacrifice yourself to toss a 'nade it should at least blow up.
Technically if the pin is pulled on a grenade, but the handle/lever is still depressed, you can hold it for as long as you want. The Pin is the safety and can be reinserted. However I do agree in that this is one of the more annoying problems in the gamemcgid1 wrote:

One other thing that bugs me about the grenades is their instant lose of momentum when they hit the ground...you'd think they'd bounce or roll (since they're cylindrical.) This makes it very hard to use them in the titan to begin with. If you could actually bounce them off a wall to get them down to corridors you wouldn't need to sacrifice yourself in the first place.
And if your in a group of friendlies at a choke point, get killed mid nade throw, nade falls to the ground and blows up where you and your squad were standing, numerous tks. Bad idea imo.mcgid1 wrote:

Thats how it would work in real life. It makes people be more cautious about how they use grenades.gene_pool wrote:

Oh, so you wanna nade a hallway before you and your squad rush it, maybe take out a sentry or two, and you get hit from behind. All them TK's bye bye score, maybe get kicked from the server for trying to help your team progress?Elamdri wrote:

And don't get me started on the "it happens in real life..." arguement.
Anything that makes the game more challenging is a good thing In my opinion. If forcing you to make choices is a bad thing...
Besides, if thats all your worried about, then just pop the pin before rushing the hall, that way you throw the nade just as you enter, eliminating the fear of getting killed and dropping the nade.

just keep it how it is.
Yeah I know how it works in real life, but in the game can't we just assume that when you pull the pin the spoon comes off? Also since this is pointed at 2142, I'm not sure, but I don't think those nades actually have spoons on them.Major.League.Infidel wrote:

Whatever, I was just trying to figure out how to make it fair if the grenade still blew after you died. Besides, your assuming it is teammates next to you, what if its a enemy?gene_pool wrote:
