Pistol is powerfull enough. If you upgrade, then everyone would use the Pistol because it fires fast and not bad recoil. Then, that would cause a lot of pistol only servers which i dont think EA would like, then, they would have to nerf them out again, only this time, they would nerf them SOOOOO bad, that it wouldn't even be worth it to switch to your pistol when your main gun mag is empty.Pea....Tear.....Griffen wrote:

Well what most of us are saying is that you can unlock a pistol that is more powerful, but less accurate. It's a tradeoff. You still wouldn't use your pistol all the time because it won't be as powerful as an assault rifle or as accurate.Dezerteagal5 wrote:

I, personally would like to see a SIG P226 tactical, either .357 or .40S&W, or a MK.23 Socom .45

lets see....the point of this is to say that pistols (sidearms) are too weak.
congrats on realizing something the rest of the world has known for a century. if you want more power use your main weapon and quit trying to zap someone with a 9mm parabellum.
there doesnt need to be a pistol upgrade.....people just need to learn to keep theyre gun loaded.

Pistols are meant to be defensive weapons and not offensive weapons, so I'd say a .45 would be a nice upgrade to a 9mm. Something that does a little more damage and is effective in close-quarters. But desert eagles and dual wielding is just going too far.

Think the SOCOM seems the best choice. Is a real life used pistol. How many really use a DE? More power less accurate. But agree that it is a dream that they will do anymore to BF2.

yeah unlockable pistols would be good, but the whole premise behind the unlock system is that they're not actually better guns, they just suit different styles of play. So I dont think we'd ever get better pistols.
