this is for the pilots out there who use a joystick.

it's very useful to spot your opponent while in a dogfight, since it enables you to track him on radar for the next few seconds. back when i was flying with the mouse and keyboard i would do this all the time. since i got my joystick, however, i can't do it anymore.

i can assign a button to the commo rose, but once it comes up, i can't click 'fire' to actually to the spotting. when i click 'fire', nothing happens, so the target spotting is never confirmed.  i think it might be an issue with key bindings but i haven't found out what yet.

so has anyone gotten spotting to work on their joystick, and how did you do it?

A program called "JoyToKey" will let you bind left mouse click to one of your joystick buttons. I have mine bound to my trigger, so it actually serves 2 functions: MG fire and spotting.

Download JoyToKey

thank you for the information. your link, however, is dead.

here is a working link for the same program.
